The 3 Most Powerful Essential Oils For Your Health
There are tens of thousands of studies online showing that essential oils are one of the world’s most powerful forms, and oldest forms of plant based healing.
What are essential oils?
Essential oils are extracted directly from plants and have tremendous healing properties. They protect plants, against insects and harsh environments.
These precious oils are highly concentrated and made of very small molecules which, differently from oils coming from vegetables or nuts, can penetrate your cells and even in some cases cross the blood-brain barrier.
For this reason essential oils are used for their therapeutic properties and have been for over 5000 years! Oils are used for beauty care, relaxation, natural medicine and to clean your home in a safe and effective way.
The therapeutic use of essential oils is referred to as ‘aromatherapy’, a holistic treatment to improve physical, mental and emotional health.
These are my top 3 favourite essential oils:
Frankincense has been used to raise spiritual awareness for a very long time. Try diffusing it when praying or meditating. Also frankincense oil is great for evening out skin tone. If you have uneven skin tone or scarring, rub one or two drops directly on the area.
Lavender oil helps reducing stress and calms the skin. Rub two drops on your upper neck and temple area for headache relief. Also a great remedy for any sort of skin inflammation including cut, burn or scrape. Combine a few drops of lavender to coconut oil for the most soothing natural lotion!
Peppermint oil is everything energizing to the body and so if you have any sort of digestive issues try using peppermint oil to experience its great benefits. Just put a drop in your water and drink it. Or just smelling it is beneficial. Use a couple of drops in water as an effective natural mouthwash. if at any point during the day you need a quick energy boost just take three deep breaths of peppermint oil to wake you up – great to try before your next workout 🙂
Enjoy experimenting with essential oils to experience great natural benefits and make sure you incorporate as many as possible in your daily routine!
As you are likely to put oils on your skin or ingest them, always use food grade which are safe for internal use.
