Everybody needs a little pampering here and there. After all, we work hard.
From ticking everything off your to-do list to lifting your personal best at the gym, life’s too short not to celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how big or small.
It’s all about treating your mind body and soul to a little TLC with a simple self-care routine.
But gifting yourself a pamper session doesn’t have to mean day-tripping to an expensive spa or splurging on skincare products. While these things are great every once in a while, what about the other 364 days of the year?
How can I pamper myself at home?
Whether you’re trying to save money or just don’t fancy leaving the house, there are lots of simple things your can do to treat yourself at home.
Create a spa-like experience at home
Light a candle, load up the hot towels and lather your skin in body butter. It’s never been easier to unwind in the comfort of your own home.
The power of a good soak in a warm bubble bath can often get overlooked, but it’s a sure way to unwind after a long day.
You could even try upgrading your bath water by adding some fragrant essential oils or a handful of bath salts for a beautiful aroma.
Top tip – notes of lavender, camomile or sandalwood will help send your body and mind into deep relaxation!
Lay on the sofa and relax
Pampering yourself can be a simple as relaxing on the sofa, popping on a boxset or listening to music.
While lying down, you could also try putting some cool cucumber slices over your eyelids to help reduce any dark undereye circles – or for a special CBD-infused treat, try out our CBD infused cosmetics products.
Cleanse and steam your face
A steam facial will cleanse your pores and help promote healthy, glowing skin. For a steam treatment at home, fill a bowl with boiling water and allow it to cool slightly.
Place your face over the steam for a few minutes and let your pores open up.
You can also try covering your head with a towel to help trap in the steam and direct it to your face.
Meditate with candles
Turn off those bright lights and spark up your favourite scented candle. It’s time for some me-time meditation at home.
Meditation is a great way to reduce stress, control anxiety and focus the breathing.
Even a quick 5-minute session can help you restore calm and find inner peace.
While not all of these ideas will be for everyone, the most important thing is that you make time to pamper yourself and give your mind, body and soul the chance to unwind and restore.
That way, you’ll be ready to take on anything.
